An application to establish the Wessex CofE Primary Academy will be submitted to the Department for Education in the autumn 2017. If approved, it will be a two-form entry co-educational school, initially opening with Reception classes and Nursery, subject to demand. It will be free to attend and highly inclusive with a distinctive Church of England character, and will offer its pupils the opportunity to grow and develop under-pinned by Christian values.

The school is proposed by the Wessex Learning Trust (WLT) which runs highly successful schools in the area, and will be at the heart of the new communities created at Brue Farm and Isleport, supporting families and sharing its state-of-the-art-facilities. It will provide parents with an additional choice of high quality education with strong pastoral care for their children. WLT, governors and staff will work relentlessly to ensure that every pupil achieves their maximum potential in a safe, supportive, high-expectation and caring environment.
